The Sony logistics operation of
Sony Electronics distributes a variety of electronic materials and products. Destinations are to various Sony locations and other companies worldwide. To improve its warehouse
efficiency, Sony set two goals: to consolidate five separate warehouses into one main facility and to bring in a automated inventory system to enhance operational controls and
productivity. To help make the system a success, Sony chose Circa for support in implementation and training.
Circa has the right background with warehouse management systems
and radio frequency devices. "Circa is most effective when it comes to getting people up to speed and operational on a new system" said Dan Gannon, director of Sony logistics.
