Pulse Engineering is a provider of magnetic components to manufactures of network devices, telecommunications systems, computer equipment, and other products. Headquartered in San Diego, Pulse employs close to 12,000 people in over 60 locations worldwide.

"When an important customer required barcodes labels from a Pulse facility in China, Pulse needed a solution that spanned the gaps of both cultures and usability. Pulse called on Circa due to their reputation and expertise in barcode data collection.

Circa lost no time in proving the value of understanding a client's business. Once back in the US, Circa worked closely with Pulse to refine the user interface to fit exactly what was needed. The supply chain partner, the production personnel in China, and the database administrators all had requirement that had to be met. Circa provided a custom application, including implementation and training support. In addition, when pulse considered automating the database update process, Circa took the lead in addressing connectivity concerns.

Pulse's Jim Lawrence describes the results of partnering with Circa: "Ever since we took the turnkey hardware and software package to China for implementation, we have had 100 percent system availability without any service interruptions. Shortly we will be printing label number 1 million."
