National Sanitary Supply Company is the nation's largest cleaning and janitorial supply
company, operating 74 facilities in 18 states. They enlisted Circa's team to help meet challenges of growth, efficiency, systems operations and management, customer service, and in
expanding their capabilities. The companies have continued their partnership throughout the years as Circa helped maintain regional information systems and create the software systems
necessary to efficiently run warehousing, inventory, accounts receivable, and more than 20 other critical departments and company functions at National Sanitary Supply Company.
"Circa has been a loyal, committed resource for us over the years", Explained Clint Smith, operations manager for the company's Southern California division.
"Everything they've done for us has been designed to make us more accurate, efficient, and has improved our customer service.
"In our early days, as we
began to discover that off-the-shelf software products didn't meet our
performance requirements, we called in Circa to develop systems that would do what we needed. And as we continued to grow over the years, Circa was there to problem-solve and create new solutions. We have enjoyed a steady improvement in operating efficiency and customer service that kept us growing. A good example is our inventory management and stock locator system which they installed for us in 1986, resulting in higher customer fill rates and lower net inventories.
"Most recently, they were instrumental in taking us into the 90's with a state-of-art radio frequency system that did some amazing things for us. The system
linked to our mainframe and enabled our warehousing staff to electronically read barcodes and item numbers - something we previously had to do by hand, which was prone to error. The radio frequency system made entering inventory transactions faster and more accurate and we were able to update inventory records simultaneously.
"It all comes down to reducing our operating costs. When they go down, the savings go
directly to the bottom line. We credit Circa with helping us do that. Because of these enhancements and others, Circa has been a major part of our steady growth. It's a true win-win relationship."
